EDAD 604: Reflection on Collaborative Inquiry

Leading this initiative has strengthened my understanding of how collaborative inquiry and instructional clarity drive student growth. Facilitating the PLC process taught me the importance of building trust, using data as a shared language, and balancing structure with flexibility. Through the gradual release model and teacher clarity, I expect teachers to reclaim ownership of their practice and students will begin to express deeper reasoning.

As an emerging leader, this experience solidified my belief that effective school leadership depends on listening, modeling, and empowering others. By grounding our work in data and equity, Cesar Chavez Elementary is becoming a culture of learning where collaboration leads to measurable improvement—and where every student has the opportunity to make their thinking visible. As Cesar Chavez would say, “Si se puede!”
