EDAD 604: Improving Math Reasoning

Are your students struggling on math SBAC state testing?  You are not alone, students through out the country are struggling.  One of the main reason is their inability to answer the math performance tasks.  Below is my power point presentation that shows a clear way forward to improve students ability to explain their reasoning and justify their answers on these performance  tasks.https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1MlYwpwQKhucIhFkj_5uNW7QOzQ1Lh6zD/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=117634348042166436077&rtpof=true&sd=true

EDAD 604: Reflection on Collaborative Inquiry

Leading this initiative has strengthened my understanding of how collaborative inquiry and instructional clarity drive student growth. Facilitating the PLC process taught me the importance of building trust, using data as a shared language, and balancing structure with flexibility. As an emerging leader, this experience solidified my belief that effective school leadership depends on listening, modeling, and empowering others. By grounding our work in data and equity, Cesar Chavez Elementary is becoming a culture of learning where collaboration leads to measurable improvement—and where every student has the opportunity to make their thinking visible. As Cesar Chavez would say, “Si se puede!”
